Sproutly — Privacy Policy

Sproutly does not collect your data. Everything you record stays on your iPhone. The app has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and makes no network requests of its own.
What Sproutly stores
Sproutly keeps the following on your device, and only on your device:
- Your child's name, date of birth, and gestational weeks at birth, used to calculate corrected age.
- Which milestones you've marked complete, and any milestones you write yourself.
- Photos you choose to attach to a milestone.
- Small app preferences, such as night mode and which child is currently selected.
This information is written to Sproutly's private storage inside the app's own container. It is not uploaded, backed up to our servers, or shared with us or anyone else, because there is no server and no third party involved.
Photos
If you attach a photo to a milestone, Sproutly saves a resized copy inside its own private storage and remembers only the file name. Sproutly reads a photo only when you pick one, and never browses your photo library on its own. Deleting a milestone deletes its photo copy.
Reports and sharing
Sproutly can generate a PDF summary for a pediatrician visit, or an image card for a milestone. These are created on your device, and nothing leaves the app until you explicitly choose to share it through iOS. Where it goes then is determined by the app you pick in the share sheet, under that app's own privacy policy.
The built-in guidance
Sproutly's support assistant is a fixed set of written responses matched by keyword on your device. It is not an AI service, your questions are not transmitted anywhere, and nothing you type into it is stored or sent.
Sproutly Pro purchases
Sproutly Pro is a one-time in-app purchase handled entirely by Apple. Payment is processed by Apple, not by us — we never see your payment details, billing address, or Apple Account. Sproutly only asks Apple whether this Apple Account is entitled to Pro, and receives a yes or no. If Sproutly Pro is shared through Family Sharing, that arrangement is managed by Apple as well.
Children's privacy
Sproutly is designed for parents and caregivers to use. Although the app is about a child's development, it collects no personal information from anyone, children included, and transmits nothing off the device. There is no sign-up, no profile visible to others, and no way for another person to contact you through the app.
Tracking
Sproutly does not track you. It contains no analytics, no advertising identifiers, and no third-party SDKs, and it does not link any information to your identity across apps or websites.
Deleting your information
Because everything lives on your device, deleting Sproutly removes all of it — milestones, children, and attached photos. You can also delete an individual child from within the app, which removes that child's milestones and photos. Neither action requires contacting us, and neither leaves a copy behind.
Changes to this policy
If Sproutly ever changes how it handles information, this page will be updated before the change reaches the App Store, and the date at the top will change with it.
This website
The policy above is about the app. This page you are reading is a separate thing, and it is not silent: if you tap I'm interested on the homepage, one row is written to a database with a random identifier generated in your browser, the time, the two-letter country Cloudflare attaches to the request, and the site you arrived from, recorded as a bare address such as https://news.ycombinator.com with any path or tracking code removed.
If you answer any of the three optional questions, the answer is added to that same row. There is no free text box anywhere, so nothing you could type is stored, because there is nothing to type into.
Your IP address, your browser's user agent, your screen size, your language, and your time zone are not stored, and no fingerprint is built from them. There is no email address, no account, no cookie, and no third-party script on this site at any point. The random identifier lives in your browser's local storage so that answering a second question updates your existing row instead of writing a new one; clearing your browser data removes it and there is no way to reconnect it to you afterwards.
